Ian Dommett
Ian Dommett enjoyed a career of over 30 years in advertising and marketing communications agencies, working with commercial, public sector and charity clients across the UK, winning creative and effectiveness awards for his campaigns. In the last 10 years he has also worked with political parties in both Edinburgh and London. In 2018 he moved close to Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland where he runs a B&B with his wife.
John Herriman
John passionately believes in the voluntary and community sector’s role in dealing with the growing levels of inequality in society. He has worked at both a regional and national level leading interventions to tackle this, most recently at the National Emergencies Trust and latterly at Greenhouse Sports in London. John has had a rewarding career spanning different sectors and continues to work in the not-for-profit sector where his current role is CEO of the Chartered Trading Standards Institute, another organisation with a strong social purpose at its heart, helping to protect consumers. Holding a number of trustee roles and Fellowships he is also privileged to be a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London supporting initiatives to build bridges between different communities.
Lynne Bell
Lynne is a qualified accountant and has worked in the charity sector for 20 years, currently as Finance Manager with a social housing provider in Edinburgh. Lynne has previously been involved in finance, governance and audit inspections for regulatory bodies in housing and education. Lynne is also currently a Trustee with the Royal Zoological Society of Edinburgh.
Douglas Parkhill
Douglas is the former finance director of the charity Missing People and is a chartered accountant and graduate of the University of Glasgow. He was previously finance director of Black & Edgington and Vango and Group Company Secretary of SkyePharma PLC. Douglas was named by ICSA as Company Secretary of the Year 2011 for the not for profit sector.
Liz Tait
Liz has been a professional fundraiser for more than 20 years and is currently Director of Fundraising at Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. Before this, she held senior fundraising roles at Teenage Cancer Trust, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and the British Red Cross. Liz is passionate about the charity sector and is also proud to be a trustee and fellow of the Institute of Fundraising, chairing their Standards Advisory Board. Liz joined People’s Postcode Lottery in 2019.
